The Federal Fisheries Act aims to preserve, improve or, where possible, restore the natural biodiversity and population of indigenous fish, crustaceans and fish feed as well as their habitats, to protect endangered species and breeds of fish and crustaceans, to ensure the sustainable use of fish and crustacean stocks and to promote fishery research.
