    Library - Online Database The database of the TIR library contains about 24'000 books, essays, and movies on the animal within the law, ethics, and society. All listed works are also physically available at TIR's office. The TIR library is a reference library. Copying facilities are available. Opening hours: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. till 12 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. till 5:30 p.m. (or upon request).     Fisheries legislation Legislation Fisheries Legislation The fisheries legislation regulates the catching of live fish and other marine animals. The Federal Fisheries Act aims to preserve, improve or, where possible, restore the natural biodiversity and population of indigenous fish, crustaceans and fish feed as well as their habitats, to protect endangered species and breeds of fish and crustaceans, to ensure the sustainable use of fish and crustacean stocks and to promote fishery research.
